Monaco E-Prix 2023

The next edition of Monaco E-Prix, a competition for electric cars, will be held on May 6 in the city’s legendary downtown racing track. Unlike the 3-day Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco, Formula E in Monaco takes place over a single day. As the home of the FIA Formula E World Championship, Monaco and its E-Prix are now an essential destination for all fans of next-gen motorsports.
Formula E 2023 event will bring together in Monaco the champions from Mitch Evans to Jean-Éric Vergne, Robin Frijns, António Félix da Costa, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Nyck de Vries.
The story of Formula E Monaco started in 2015 when Monte-Carlo was then selected for the FIA Formula E World Championship’s very first season (2014-2015). And its first winner was Sébastien Buemi. And two years later, Mr. Buemi emerged victorious a second time. The third competition was won by French former F1 driver Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah). In 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the organizers were forced to announce the competition’s cancellation. Formula E triumphantly returned to Monaco, marking the start of its now-annual run, and the Portuguese driver António Félix da Costa (DS Techeetah) took the trophy. Initially an event that was held every two years in Monaco, the E-Prix has held a more regular position in the Principality’s hectic May schedule in recent years.
