The 2023 Met Gala Paid Homage to the Late Karl Lagerfeld

The first Monday in May is the fashion’s biggest night – the 2023 Met Gala. Held in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the major event was co-hosted by Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, and Dua Lipa as the celebrity co-chairs, with Anna Wintour also reprising her role as chairman of the event since 1995.

This year’s theme revolves around the late Karl Lagerfeld, honoring the designer who passed away in 2019. Best known for his work leading Chanel for almost four decades, the German native also left his mark on the houses of  Fendi, Balmain, Chloé, and his own eponymous label.
